Foreign Auto Services made the front page of the local section of The Palm Beach Post in July 1996 when owner Rick Capone helped a Bradenton woman with her car problems.

Barbara Edwards had just driven to West Palm Beach to give her daughter a preview of college life, but ended up learning an old-fashioned lesson in honesty from Foreign Auto Service’s owner. Rick Capone paid $50 for the 1982 Mustang after Barbara asked him to take it off her hands. But after only adding transmission fluid, the car ran fine. So Rick called her right away and told her she could have her car back.

“I knew they were stranded an stressed, I wasn’t going to take advantage of her” said Capone.

Now that sounds like a good person to have on your side when you need a mechanic!
